ISPR: Security Forces Kill 12 Militants in Intelligence-Based Operations in Balochistan

Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s security forces killed 12 suspected militants during separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Washuk and Mastung districts, according to the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, the ISPR said that on August 5, security forces tracked the movement of six militants in Washuk district. Acting on intelligence, the forces launched a timely operation in which all six suspected militants were killed.

The military further stated that on August 6, another intelligence-based operation was carried out in Mastung, where security forces engaged in a heavy exchange of fire with militants. During the operation, six more suspected militants were killed and one of their hideouts was destroyed.

According to the ISPR, the operations conducted on August 5 and 6 were part of the ongoing intelligence-based campaign under Operation Radd-ul-Fitan 3.

The military reaffirmed that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating terrorism under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, adding that operations will continue until militancy and externally supported terrorist threats are completely eradicated from the country.
