Power-Sharing Deal in Balochistan: PML-N, PPP Agree on 2.5-Year Formula, Says Minister Noor Mohammad Dummar
Quetta:Provincial Food Minister and PML-N lawmaker **Noor Mohammad Dummar** revealed that a **power-sharing agreement** has been reached between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Balochistan.
Speaking to the media after the Assembly session, Dummar stated that under the formula, **Mir Sarfraz Bugti will serve as Chief Minister for the first 2.5 years**, after which a change in leadership is possible.
He said the details of the agreement were shared by the party’s central leadership and discussed in high-level meetings. “The PML-N leadership even has the agreement in documented form, though its implementation is a separate matter,” he clarified.
Responding to a question about the next candidate for Chief Minister, Dummar said the PML-N leadership would decide in light of the **province’s best interests**, ensuring that whoever is chosen will serve both the party and the people of Balochistan.
