DG ISPR Addresses Students in AJK, Responds to Questions on Protest Politics

PLANDRI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the political system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is functional and that all key indicators, including education, health, and infrastructure, are showing improvement.
According to *Express News*, the DG ISPR engaged with around 1,000 students and teachers from various universities in Plandri, answering their questions in detail.
When asked about the protest politics of the Awami Action Committee, he stated that while protest is everyone’s democratic right, spreading chaos damages the economy. He stressed that if the state does not collect taxes, it would not be able to provide benefits and salaries, noting that more than 30% of AJK’s population is employed in the government sector.
Highlighting the region’s potential, Lt Gen Chaudhry said Allah has blessed Kashmir with immense resources, adding that many Pakistani Army officers and soldiers hail from Kashmir. He reiterated that the future of the region lies in the vision of *“Kashmir Banega Pakistan.”*
