India May Attack Pakistan in October, Warns Former Foreign Secretary

ISLAMABAD: Former Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry has cautioned that India could launch an attack on Pakistan in October, linking the possibility to upcoming state elections in Bihar scheduled for November. He noted that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has historically leveraged anti-Pakistan sentiment to secure electoral gains.
Political analyst Huma Baqai urged authorities to present evidence of Indian terrorism at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) forum, stressing the need to expose New Delhi’s alleged destabilizing activities.
Meanwhile, defense analyst Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qayyum recommended that foreign diplomats stationed in Pakistan be briefed comprehensively about the regional security situation and India’s aggressive posture.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, raising concerns of potential escalation in the coming weeks.
