PM Shehbaz Sharif Signs Historic Strategic Defence Pact with Saudi Arabia in Riyadh

Riyadh:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on the special invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, undertook an official visit to Riyadh.

At the Al-Yamamah Palace, both leaders held formal talks, following which Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a historic *“Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA).”*

Under the pact, any aggression against one country will be considered an aggression against both nations.

The agreement is being hailed as a milestone that will not only elevate defence relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to new heights but also contribute significantly to peace and stability in the region.
