CM Bugti, WAPDA Chairman Discuss Energy Projects in Balochistan

Quetta:Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with WAPDA Chairman, Lt. Gen (Retd.) Muhammad Saeed, in Quetta to discuss energy issues and ongoing power projects in the province.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed electricity supply from the national grid to Gwadar and other border areas, as well as progress on shifting agricultural tube wells to solar energy.
CM Bugti stressed that ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply is the provincial government’s top priority, particularly for remote and border regions where energy shortages not only add to public hardships but also hinder economic growth. He emphasized that investment and infrastructure development in the energy sector are crucial for Balochistan’s long-term progress.
He assured that the provincial government is taking all necessary measures to provide reliable power supply to both urban and rural populations.
WAPDA Chairman Lt. Gen (Retd.) Muhammad Saeed assured the Chief Minister that energy projects in Balochistan will be advanced on a priority basis at the federal level to further strengthen the province’s development process.
