Flash Floods Hit Musakhel After Torrential Rains; Homes Damaged, No Casualties Reported

Quetta:Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds triggered flash floods in Balochistan’s Musakhel district on Sunday, causing significant damage to residential areas, officials confirmed.

According to the district administration, torrential downpours led to floodwaters entering Jafarabad locality and surrounding neighborhoods of Musakhel. The flooding caused one house to collapse completely, while over 30 homes suffered partial damage.

Fortunately, no loss of life was reported.

Due to the severity of the flooding, the Kangri-Musakhel Road was temporarily closed to small vehicles at Kot Khan Muhammad. Officials stated that the road will be reopened once the water level recedes and the situation stabilizes.

Rescue teams and local administration are monitoring the situation closely and providing support to affected families.
