Flood Havoc in Gilgit-Baltistan: 10 Dead, Dozens Affected as Torrential Rains Trigger Landslides and Glacial Melt

In **Ghizer district**, flash floods claimed the lives of **8 people** and injured **2 others**, while in **Diamer**, a **brother and sister were swept away** by a raging flood. Landslides on the **Babusar Highway** injured a child and caused road blockages.
In **Hunza**, the **Shishper Glacier** has begun to melt at an alarming rate, intensifying erosion on both banks of the **Hasanabad Nullah**. Local administration has issued evacuation notices, prompting residents to begin vacating their homes.
