Pakistanis Can Still Travel to 30 Countries with Visa-Free or Simplified Entry Despite Weak Passport Ranking
Islamabad: Despite its relatively low global passport ranking, Pakistani passport holders can still travel to 30 countries through visa-free access, visa-on-arrival, or electronic travel authorization (eTA), according to the Henley Passport Index for July 2026.
The latest report states that Pakistan’s passport remains ranked 100th globally. After showing some improvement earlier in the year, the passport’s position declined again. Pakistan was ranked 103rd in 2025, while its position fluctuated during 2026 due to changes in global visa policies and international travel agreements.
The report notes that passport rankings are regularly affected by revisions in visa regulations, bilateral travel arrangements, and international policy changes.
Globally, Singapore continues to hold the world’s most powerful passport, providing visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 192 destinations. Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates share second place in the latest rankings.
