NAB Recovers Over 547 Billion Rupees in Six Months

Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has made a record recovery of over 547 billion rupees in just six months. In a statement released by NAB, it reaffirmed its strong commitment to protecting public interests and recovering looted national wealth.
According to the statistics provided by NAB, the Bureau made a significant recovery of 345.3 billion rupees in the second quarter of 2025 (April to June). Meanwhile, in the first two quarters of 2025, NAB recovered a total of 31.547 billion rupees.
Additionally, in the first two quarters of 2025, 33.532 billion rupees worth of movable and immovable properties were returned to federal and provincial ministries, departments, and financial institutions. NAB also returned looted funds to 12,611 victims of various fraud cases during this period.
NAB Rawalpindi recovered valuable government land, including 51 kanals of land (worth 29 billion rupees) in Sector 11-E of Islamabad, which was handed over to the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Similarly, in a large fraud case involving the public, the Bureau recovered 3 billion rupees, which will be distributed among 17,214 affected victims.
In the Sukkur region, NAB recovered 25 billion rupees worth of land from the National Highway Authority, while the Sindh Education Department’s 127 kanals and 15 marlas of land, worth 160.895 million rupees, were also recovered by NAB Sukkur.
NAB Lahore successfully recovered 3.2 billion rupees in the Eden case, which was distributed among 11,880 victims. Additionally, NAB Lahore recovered eight properties worth 9.3 billion rupees in the Pak Arab Housing case, which will be distributed to 2,500 victims in the form of cash.
