Burak Özçivit Exits ‘Kuruluş: Osman’ Over Pay Dispute, Demands 4 Million Lira Per Episode

Lahore – Renowned Turkish actor Burak Özçivit has officially parted ways with the hit historical drama series Kuruluş: Osman due to a disagreement over compensation for the upcoming season.
According to Turkish media, Burak, who portrayed the lead role of “Osman Bey” — the son of Ertugrul Ghazi — for the past five seasons, will not be returning for the sixth installment.
Reports suggest a conflict arose between Burak and the show’s producer Mehmet Bozdağ over the actor’s demand of 4 million Turkish Lira per episode, a figure the production team found unacceptable.
The situation reportedly became tense, with both parties allegedly unfollowing each other on social media, further fueling speculation of a rift.
Burak bid farewell to fans through an Instagram story, calling goodbye “a great virtue” and thanking viewers for their support. He also teased a return in a new project soon.
The upcoming season will shift focus to Osman Bey’s son, Orhan Ghazi. An older version of Osman will also be introduced, to be portrayed by a new actor. Turkish stars such as Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Murat Yıldırım, and İbrahim Çelikkol are reportedly being considered for the new lead roles.
