Pakistan and China Sign Key Media Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have signed a landmark agreement to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of audiovisual and broadcast media, marking a new chapter in media partnership between the two countries.
The agreement aims to promote the exchange of expertise and collaboration in media sectors, enabling both nations to benefit from shared experiences and joint ventures.
The signing ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Ambreen Jan, and Dong Xin, Vice Minister and Member of the Party Group of China’s National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA).
According to an official statement, the agreement will not only strengthen traditional media relations between Pakistan and China but also pave the way for collaboration in modern audiovisual platforms aligned with contemporary broadcasting standards.
Under the agreement, media institutions from both countries will be able to launch joint projects, exchange content and knowledge, and benefit from each other’s experiences. The cooperation will also include training programs, technical assistance, and co-productions aimed at increasing mutual understanding of each other’s cultures, traditions, and developmental progress.
The partnership is expected to enhance professional capabilities and play a crucial role in strengthening people-to-people ties through media.
This initiative reflects the growing recognition by both nations of media and cultural exchanges as key pillars alongside their economic and trade partnerships. The agreement is seen as a milestone in promoting soft power and public-level harmony between Pakistan and China.
