Passenger Flown to Jeddah Instead of Karachi Without Passport, Files Petition in Sindh High Court

Karachi – A shocking case of negligence by a private airline has led an affected passenger to file a petition in the Sindh High Court, claiming he was mistakenly flown from Lahore to Jeddah instead of Karachi — and without a passport.
According to the petition filed by engineer Malik Shah Zain through advocate Nawaz Dahri, the passenger was scheduled to travel from Lahore to Karachi. However, due to alleged negligence by the airline, he was boarded onto a flight to Jeddah without proper documentation, including a passport.
Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, the petitioner was detained and interrogated by Saudi authorities, who were alarmed by the lack of travel documentation. He was subsequently deported back to Lahore.
The petitioner stated that the incident caused him extreme distress and humiliation, and questioned how immigration authorities allowed him to board an international flight without a passport. He labeled the event as a serious failure on the part of airline and immigration officials.
The petition calls for a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the matter, including possible elements of human trafficking, and urges accountability for the institutions involved. The petitioner seeks a full inquiry and action against those responsible for what he describes as a gross violation of protocol and human rights.
