High Court Denies Bail Request of PTI Leader Sanam Javed
Islamabad:The Islamabad High Court has rejected the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed, who was detained on illegal charges.
Sanam Javed’s bail request was heard in the Islamabad High Court. During the hearing, Attorney General Usman Mansoor Awan informed the court that Sanam Javed is now free and can return to her province.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked that Sanam Javed uses highly inappropriate language on the internet. The honorable judge asked the applicant’s lawyer if they assure that Sanam Javed will refrain from further inappropriate remarks.
Advocate Miyan Ali Ashfaq responded affirmatively, stating that Sanam Javed will not use inappropriate language in the future.
After hearing arguments from the Attorney General and the applicant’s lawyer, the court declared Sanam Javed’s detention illegal and dismissed the bail application.
PTI worker Sanam Javed’s lawyer Advocate Miyan Ashfaq Ali spoke to media outside the Islamabad High Court, stating that they met with the Attorney General who assured that Sanam Javed will not be arrested in any case across the country. The Attorney General also confirmed that the FIR filed in Balochistan will be withdrawn.
Miyan Ashfaq Ali further stated that the Attorney General also clarified in the Islamabad High Court that there will be no more arrests. Cases against Sanam Javed in Islamabad and Quetta will be withdrawn within two days.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked on Sanam Javed’s use of highly inappropriate language and emphasized the need for caution in the future. He accepted an apology from Sanam Javed and assured the court that precautions will be taken in the future.
It’s worth noting that three days ago, the Islamabad High Court had released Sanam Javed on bail with instructions to stay in Islamabad and refrain from speaking a single word.
