Government Cuts Profit Rates on National Savings Schemes Further, Notification Issued

Islamabad: The federal government has issued a notification announcing a further reduction in profit rates on national savings schemes.
According to the report, the profit rate on Defense Savings Certificates has been reduced by 15 basis points, from 11.91% to 11.76%.
The profit rate on Special Savings Certificates has been significantly lowered by 30 basis points, decreasing from 10.90% to 10.60%.
The notification also stated that the profit rate on Islamic Savings Accounts has been reduced by 59 basis points, bringing the current rate to 9.75%.
Additionally, the notification mentioned a reduction in profits for Shaheed Family Welfare Accounts by 24 basis points and a decrease in profit rates for Regular Income Certificates as well.
