Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Riyasi and Farhatullah Babar Launch Joint Struggle Against Mines and Minerals Act

Quetta:Senior politicians, former Senator Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Riyasi and former Senator Farhatullah Babar, have termed the struggle against the Mines and Minerals Act as a fight for the prosperity and survival of nations. They urged people deprived of constitutional, national, and historical rights to rise above party lines and personal interests in this fight for national benefit.
In a recent telephonic conversation, Farhatullah Babar expressed his appreciation for Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Riyasi’s organized efforts against the Mines and Minerals Act. He emphasized that the struggle was not just a political issue but a war for the survival and prosperity of the people. He also referenced the similar bill being introduced in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, where some members had opposed it. Babar praised Afraasiab Khattak for also joining this important cause, affirming that other serious political leaders and activists would eventually join this struggle.
Babar also spoke about challenging the Mines and Minerals Act in the Balochistan High Court. While expressing doubts about the judicial system’s willingness to address such issues, he reaffirmed that the battle was primarily political and that he would stand by Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Riyasi throughout this peaceful political struggle. He added that whenever his help was needed in this movement, he would contribute fully.
In response, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Riyasi thanked Farhatullah Babar for his support, which he said had added strength to the movement. He reiterated that those deprived of their constitutional, national, and historical rights must unite for the greater good of their nation, putting aside party and personal interests.
Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Riyasi also extended an invitation to political leaders, activists, and the people of Balochistan to join the ongoing struggle for the region’s national rights, and work together to free Balochistan from deprivation, oppression, and poverty, ensuring a better future for the coming generations.
