JUI-F Balochistan Holds Critical Meeting, Expresses Deep Concern Over Security, Lawlessness, and Mines & Minerals Bill

Quetta: The provincial executive and parliamentary group of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Balochistan held an important meeting in Shahbaz Town, Quetta, under the chairmanship of Provincial Amir Senator Maulana Abdul Wasee. The meeting thoroughly reviewed the province’s deteriorating law and order situation and expressed profound sorrow and regret over the martyrdoms of several JUI-F leaders and workers since the beginning of Ramadan. These include prominent figures like Wadera Ghulam Sarwar, Maulana Amanullah, Mufti Shamir, Dr. Siddiq, and Mir Kamran Jatak, among many others, who were victims of targeted killings.

The leadership termed these targeted killings a part of a well-organized conspiracy against JUI-F, designed to undermine the party’s principled stance. However, they stated that the sacrifices of these martyrs have further strengthened the resolve of JUI-F workers, and the party is more determined than ever to continue its struggle.

The meeting also condemned the tragic killing of Masoor Khan Kakr, calling it not just a murder but a reflection of the government’s inability to assert its authority. “This is not just the murder of a child; it’s the complete collapse of state authority in Balochistan. The government remains a silent spectator to these atrocities,” the leaders said.

JUI-F expressed severe dismay over the government’s criminal negligence and its failure to restore law and order in the province. The party emphasized that despite the ongoing bloodshed of innocent workers and activists, the government continues to offer hollow statements and false promises. “When the government ministers are lost in leisure and intoxicated by power, they fail to protect the lives and property of the people. Instead, they are directly responsible for the chaos and destruction,” said a senior leader.

The meeting also voiced deep concern over the government’s surrender to lawlessness, terrorism, and oppression in the province, which has made life unbearable for the people of Balochistan. In response to the government’s inaction, JUI-F decided to launch a province-wide protest movement if immediate steps were not taken to ensure public safety. This would include road blockades, sit-ins in front of government institutions, and mobilizing the masses at every level. A formal announcement of the action plan is expected soon.

In a unanimous decision, the party declared that if the government fails to protect the people’s lives and property, JUI-F will not remain a passive spectator but will adopt all constitutional and democratic means to fight against injustice, lawlessness, and oppression.

The meeting also expressed grave concerns over the “Mines and Minerals Bill,” which they described as a direct attack on provincial autonomy and the 18th Constitutional Amendment. “This bill was passed through deceit and manipulation in the assembly and is completely unacceptable. JUI-F will challenge it not only in court but also lead street protests against it. The people of Balochistan will rise against this controversial bill, and the government will have no choice but to withdraw it,” the party leadership stated.

Additionally, JUI-F condemned the government’s actions toward the Employees Grand Alliance. The arrest of the protest leaders and their detention in the harsh conditions of Macha Jail during the hot summer was deemed undemocratic, inhumane, and humiliating. “We fully support the constitutional and democratic demands of government employees and stand with them at every level,” the leaders affirmed.

The meeting concluded with collective prayers and a remembrance for the martyrs, including Maulana Rohullah, Shaheed Hafiz Masoor, Shaheed Dr. Siddiq, Justice Jamal Mandokhel’s mother, Shaheed Mir Kamran Jatak, Wadera Ghulam Sarwar Musiani, Maulana Amanullah, Mufti Shamir, and others who sacrificed their lives for the cause.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders including Provincial General Secretary Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah, Senior Patron Maulana Hafiz Muhammad Yusuf, Deputy Amir Maulana Kamaluddin, Maulana Nazar Muhammad Haqqani, Maulana Sarwar Nadeem, Secretary Information Dilawar Khan Kakr, Opposition Leader Mir Yunus Aziz Zehri, Maulana Hafiz Hussain Ahmad Sharodi, Haji Ghausullah Achakzai, MPA Haji Asghar Khan Tareen, Syed Zafar Agha, Dr. Nawaz Khan Kakr, Ghulam Dostgir Badini, Mir Hassan Sasoni, Haji Din Muhammad Saigi, Haji Nawaz Khan Kakr, Haji Abdul Wadood Agha, and others.

The meeting is still ongoing, with more crucial decisions expected to be announced today.
