8 Pakistani Soldiers Martyred in Suicide Attack at Bannu Checkpost; Security Forces Neutralize 10 Terrorists
Rawalpindi:In a tragic incident at Bannu checkpost, eight soldiers of the Pakistani Army were martyred during a suicide attack, while security forces successfully neutralized ten terrorists in a retaliatory operation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the morning of July 15th, a group of ten terrorists launched a suicide attack on Bannu checkpost, attempting to breach its perimeter. Security forces swiftly responded, preventing the terrorists from entering the premises. During the attack, the terrorists detonated an explosives-laden vehicle, causing damage to the checkpost’s wall and nearby structures.
The brave soldiers who laid down their lives include Sepoy Ashfaq Hussain Khan, Sepoy Subhan Majid, Sepoy Imtiaz Khan, Sepoy Arslan Islam, and Lance Naik Sabz Ali from the Frontier Constabulary.
The ISPR confirmed that in the ensuing firefight, security forces eliminated all ten terrorists involved in the attack. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Pakistan in combating terrorism, with the nation mourning the loss of its courageous defenders.
