Five Pakistani Pilgrims Pass Away During Hajj in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah – In a somber development during the ongoing Hajj pilgrimage, five Pakistani pilgrims have passed away in Saudi Arabia due to natural causes, according to the Pakistan Hajj Mission. Officials confirmed that there were no signs of mismanagement or accidents involved in the deaths.
The deceased pilgrims hailed from various cities across Pakistan. Three of them — Khawaja Mehmood from Chakwal, Muhammad Ehsan from Jamshoro, and Kishwar Sultan from Faisalabad — passed away in Medina. Their funeral prayers were held at the Masjid al-Nabawi (Prophet’s Mosque), a spiritual honor revered by Muslims worldwide. The trio was laid to rest in the historic Jannat al-Baqi cemetery, the resting place of thousands of Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) and members of his family.
The other two pilgrims — Gul Jan from Jhelum and Irshad Begum from Gujranwala — died in Makkah and were buried in the Sharai Cemetery, one of Makkah’s well-known burial grounds.
The Pakistan Hajj Mission affirmed that all pilgrims are being provided with full medical care and support during their pilgrimage. After the unfortunate incidents, the families of the deceased were contacted and are being fully assisted.
Funeral arrangements, including burial and prayers, were carried out in collaboration with Saudi authorities to ensure all Islamic rites were honored with dignity and respect.
