Congress Leader Questions Modi Government Over ₹15 Lakh Missiles Used on ₹15K Pakistani Drones

New Delhi:Senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has raised serious questions about the Modi government’s handling of **Operation Sandur**, demanding transparency regarding the expenses and outcomes of the operation.

According to Indian media reports, Wadettiwar criticized the government for allegedly using **missiles worth ₹15 lakh** to shoot down **Chinese-made drones from Pakistan** that cost only **₹15,000 each**. He claimed that Pakistan had deployed around **5,000 such low-cost drones**, leading to a disproportionately expensive response from India.

The Congress leader called for clarity on multiple points:

* Whether **any Pakistani Rafale jets** were actually brought down,
* How many **Indian soldiers were injured or killed**, and
* **Why the ceasefire was announced at the request of the United States.**

Wadettiwar stated that the **Indian public deserves to know the full truth** about the scale of the operation, the actual threat posed, and the strategic decisions made by the government.

This criticism adds to growing political pressure on the Modi administration to **justify its defense expenditures** and provide a clear account of military engagements and outcomes related to Pakistan.
