Over 10 Drug Addicts Escape Rehab Center in Karachi’s Orangi Town, Locals Protest

Karachi:More than 10 drug addicts have escaped from a rehabilitation center in Karachi’s Orangi Town, causing concern among local residents.
According to Geo News, the individuals managed to flee by scaling walls and roofs of the facility. The incident has raised questions about the security and management of rehabilitation centers that are supposed to aid in the recovery of drug addicts.
Local police officials confirmed that the escapees were able to break out of the rehab center by climbing over the walls and roofs.
In the aftermath of the incident, the residents of Orangi Town staged a protest outside the rehab center. They voiced concerns over the safety of their community, as many of the escapees reportedly entered nearby homes. The locals expressed frustration, fearing that the addicts could pose a threat to their families and neighborhoods.
