Rahul Gandhi Slams Modi Government Over Pre-Strike Notification to Pakistan, Demands Clarity on IAF Losses

New Delhi:Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a sharp critique of the Modi government following Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s admission that Pakistan was informed in advance of Indian strikes. Gandhi questioned the legality and logic of such an action, calling it a “crime.”
Speaking on the issue, Gandhi demanded accountability, stating: *“Who authorized the decision to notify Pakistan before the strikes? Foreign Minister Jaishankar has openly admitted it – the nation deserves answers.”*
He further challenged the government by asking, *“How many aircraft did the Indian Air Force lose following the attacks? The people have the right to know.”*
The controversy erupted after S. Jaishankar, in a recent statement, revealed that Pakistan was notified ahead of India’s military actions—a disclosure that has drawn fierce backlash from political opponents and sparked a wider debate on national security protocols.
Gandhi’s remarks signal renewed political tensions in India over the handling of military operations and foreign policy transparency ahead of potential electoral campaigns.
