Unique Art Camp “Transforming Trash into Treasure” Inaugurated in Gwadar
Quetta:Assistant Commissioner Mir Jawad Ahmed Zahri inaugurated a six-day summer camp themed “Transforming Trash into Treasure,” jointly organized by Gwadar School of Arts and Bamsaar. The ceremony, held in a spectacular manner, was attended by Madam Shahina Rashid, Chairperson of Gwadar School of Arts, Naseer Mohammad, Chief Executive of Bamsaar Organization, Marza Ghalib, Event’s focal person, Rafiq Zahid, Manager of Sindh Bank Gwadar, members of Gwadar School of Arts, participants of the art competition, and program enthusiasts.
The opening ceremony was marked by enthusiasm as participants actively engaged in showcasing their talents and skills. A thematic art piece was presented where participants painted canvases with their handprints, symbolizing the creative spirit of the camp. This canvas will continue to evolve as each incoming guest adds their handprint daily, ultimately forming a complete tree shape.
The artistic endeavor aims to promote environmental conservation efforts in Gwadar, emphasizing the importance of transforming coastal blessings into valuable creations. Assistant Commissioner Zahri expressed his delight at the initiative, highlighting the significance of turning maritime resources into precious creations and raising environmental awareness among participants.
The Summer Camp has been designed as a platform for creative abilities, learning, and engagement for all involved, promising to be a memorable experience. Participants demonstrated passionate enthusiasm towards achieving the goals of the art camp through their active participation and spirited involvement.
