Pakistan Had No Choice But to Respond, Says FM Ishaq Dar on Launch of ‘Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs

Islamabad:Following the launch of *Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs* in response to India’s aggressive military actions, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar declared that “victory will belong to Pakistan.” Speaking to the media, Dar emphasized that the operation was a necessary and calculated defensive response.

“Our armed forces were fully prepared. We could not afford to take any risks,” he stated. “We initiated action strictly as a defensive measure.”

The Foreign Minister called upon the international community to recognize and address India’s reckless conduct. “It is the world’s responsibility to make India understand the grave mistake it has made,” he said, accusing India of consistently lying over the past 48 hours and carrying out covert missile and drone strikes on Pakistani territory.

Dar further asserted that India’s attempts to demonstrate nuclear superiority were futile. “It’s impossible for India to prove that it holds a nuclear advantage over Pakistan,” he said, affirming the country’s full strategic readiness.

“We cannot stand idle while India acts unchecked,” he added. “This cycle of provocation must end, and Pakistan will defend every inch of its territory.”

The statement comes amid high regional tensions, with Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs already resulting in the destruction of multiple Indian military installations, including airbases and missile systems, and a National Command Authority meeting convened by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
