Cylinder Explosion in Lahore Sparks Fire: 5 Killed, 5 Seriously Injured

Lahore: A devastating fire broke out on Ravi Road after a gas cylinder exploded in a shop, claiming the lives of five individuals and leaving five others critically injured.
According to rescue sources, the fire erupted following the explosion of an LPG cylinder, trapping several people inside the premises. Emergency response teams arrived swiftly at the scene, extinguished the blaze, and transported both the deceased and the injured to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have reported that five individuals remain in critical condition due to severe burns.
In response to the tragic incident, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives and directed a comprehensive sweep of the area in coordination with relevant departments. He ordered the immediate shutdown of all illegal LPG refilling points in the vicinity and instructed the police to remain on high alert, enhancing surveillance across the city to prevent similar occurrences.
