Inspector Bahadur Ali from Gilgit-Baltistan Martyred in Islamabad Suicide Attack, Funeral Held with Full State Honors

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Inspector Bahadur Ali, a police officer from Gilgit-Baltistan, was martyred in a suicide attack at Masjid and Imam Bargah Khadija Al-Kubra in the suburb of Tarlai, Islamabad, during Friday prayers.
The funeral prayer of the martyred officer was offered at Police Lines Headquarters, Islamabad, with full state honors. The ceremony was attended by IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, senior police officials, officers, personnel, and a large number of citizens. Police personnel presented a salute to the martyred officer, while Islamabad police officials and staff prayed for the elevation of his ranks and patience for his family.
Later, the body of Inspector Bahadur Ali was sent to his native area in Gilgit-Baltistan with full state honors. Police officials stated that Inspector Bahadur Ali sacrificed his life while performing his duties, and his bravery and sacrifice will always be remembered. Authorities added that operations against terrorism will continue until the menace is completely eradicated.
It is reported that the suicide attack claimed the lives of 31 worshippers and left over 100 injured. According to police, an attempt was made to stop the attacker at the gate, during which he opened indiscriminate fire, injuring a security guard. The attacker then detonated himself inside the mosque compound.
