PTI Activist Sanam Javed and Husband Detained by Police in Lahore

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed and her husband Professor Atiq Riaz have been taken into custody by police near Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore.
According to reports, a heavy police contingent detained the couple shortly after Sanam Javed exited the jail following a court hearing related to the May 9 cases. The police then transferred them to an undisclosed location.
Family members have confirmed that both Sanam Javed and her husband were taken away by law enforcement authorities. The reasons for the arrest and their current whereabouts remain unknown.
