Only a Psychiatrist Can Negotiate With a Mentally Disturbed Person, Says Maryam Aurangzeb

*Lahore:* Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb strongly criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, saying that “only a mental health doctor can negotiate with a mentally disturbed person,” during a press conference in Lahore on Monday.

Maryam Aurangzeb accused PTI of consistently using foul language and attempting to create divisions within the armed forces. She stated that no one can be allowed to cross the “red lines” defined by the Constitution.
“You try to make the army controversial with your filthy language. The punishment for crossing the constitutional red line is clearly stated,” she remarked.

She reiterated that PTI was responsible for the attacks on military installations, adding that anyone who collaborates with India against Pakistan is considered a traitor.
“Only a psychiatrist can negotiate with someone who is mentally unstable. National security cannot be compromised, and those who conspire against the country will face consequences as defined in the Constitution,” she said.

Maryam Aurangzeb claimed that PTI’s foreign funding from Israel and India was now being exposed, which, according to her, was the reason behind their aggressive political rhetoric.
“Who asked you whether you accept the 27th Amendment or not? To hide your corruption, you orchestrated the May 9 incident,” she added.

The senior minister warned that those calling for violence—such as threats to burn down the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor House—would be dealt with strictly.
“It’s not your father’s Governor House. The people and armed forces of Pakistan know very well how to defend this country,” she said.

Maryam Aurangzeb emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for abusive behavior and incitement.
“In the Battle of Haq, you acted as a facilitator for India. Your problem is that your face has been exposed. Do politics, not treason. Freedom of expression has limits clearly defined by the Constitution,” she concluded.
