Provincial Advisor Meena Majeed Baloch Condemns Smear Campaign Against Police Officer Zarghoona Tareen

Quetta — Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed Baloch, strongly condemned the negative campaign against police officer Zarghoona Tareen circulating on social media, calling it deeply regrettable and unacceptable.

In her statement, Meena Majeed Baloch criticized so-called human rights activists, particularly those residing abroad, for engaging in a smear campaign against Zarghoona Tareen without any evidence or factual basis. She described the act as shameful and unethical.

She emphasized that insulting one woman under the pretext of defending another is highly immoral and condemnable. Those advocating for human rights must also practice respect for women instead of resorting to hateful campaigns, she said.

Highlighting that every woman in Balochistan, including Zarghoona Tareen, deserves respect, Baloch pointed out that police officers perform their duties according to the law of the state, and expecting personal loyalty from them is both insulting and damaging to institutional integrity.

She urged that any grievances should be addressed through legal channels rather than through baseless propaganda on social media aimed at tarnishing the reputation of honorable women.

Expressing full solidarity with Zarghoona Tareen and other hardworking female officers, Meena Majeed Baloch affirmed that the Government of Balochistan will take all necessary measures to protect the dignity and respect of women.
