PPP MPA Mir Obaidullah Gorgij Condemns Attack on Jaffar Express, Pledges to Overcome Conspiracy Against Balochistan’s Development

Quetta – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mir Obaidullah Gorgij condemned the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express, describing it as part of a deep conspiracy aimed at destabilizing the country. He also assured that the provincial government will defeat the false narratives and work towards steering Balochistan back on the path of development while putting an end to terrorism in the region.

In a statement, MPA Gorgij highlighted that the attack on Jaffar Express was not just an assault on the development and prosperity of Balochistan, but also a cruel attempt to shatter the hopes and dreams of innocent people. He emphasized that the attack targeted the aspirations of a mother awaiting her son’s return, a laborer dreaming of a better life, and the elderly hoping to see their children’s future brighten. The attackers, he said, know that when Balochistan progresses, Pakistan becomes stronger. Hence, they are spilling innocent blood through acts of terrorism.

Mir Obaidullah Gorgij also lashed out at the individuals spreading false narratives and attempting to mislead the youth, stating that their failed plans would never succeed. He particularly criticized the Baloch Unity Committee, a group using the name of unity to propagate hatred, promote violence under the guise of identity, and pave the way for slavery in the name of freedom. He argued that their politics and narrative were founded on division and the destruction of the province.

The PPP leader affirmed that the Balochistan government would not only thwart the terrorists’ attempt to hinder the province’s development but would also decisively counter the false narratives, pushing Balochistan back onto the path of progress and prosperity.
