Gold Prices Soar to Historic Highs in Global and Local Markets

KARACHI: Gold prices surged sharply once again today, reaching historic highs in both international and local markets. According to reports, the global price of gold jumped by $78, pushing the rate per ounce to a record high of $3,118.
Following the spike in international rates, domestic gold prices in Pakistan also witnessed a significant rise. The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 7,800, reaching an all-time high of Rs 328,800. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 6,688, bringing it to Rs 281,893.
This sharp increase in gold prices reflects ongoing global economic uncertainties, making the precious metal a preferred safe-haven asset for investors.
