National Party’s Kalsoom Niaz Baloch Condemns Police Brutality on Peaceful Protest in Balochistan

NOKONDI:Provincial Secretary of National Party’s Women’s Wing and Member of Balochistan Assembly, Kalsoom Niaz Baloch, has strongly condemned the firing, baton charge, violence, and shelling on the peaceful protest of the relatives of missing persons on Saryab Road. In a statement, she said that attempting to suppress the voice of the public through state repression is unacceptable and deeply condemnable.

Kalsoom Niaz Baloch further remarked that Balochistan is already suffering from ongoing oppression and injustices, and the use of brutal force against peaceful protests is only exacerbating the public’s anger and frustration. She emphasized that the relatives of the missing persons are protesting for the recovery of their loved ones, which is their democratic and legal right. However, instead of listening to the public’s concerns, the government is resorting to violence and barbarism, which is intolerable.

She stressed that the issues of Balochistan cannot be resolved through force; rather, such actions will only increase hatred and mistrust. Kalsoom Niaz Baloch demanded an immediate halt to state repression, the release of arrested protesters, and a serious solution to the issue of missing persons.
