CM Balochistan Sardar Sarfraz Bugti Addresses Governance Issues and Security Concerns in Cabinet Meeting

Quetta:The Chief Minister of Balochistan, **Sardar Sarfraz Bugti**, emphasized that linking governance failures to the state is not appropriate and assured that the government will ensure merit-based appointments, granting rightful opportunities to deserving individuals.

In a meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister, **recent terrorist incidents** in **Jafar Express** and **Nushki** were strongly condemned. The cabinet praised the **security forces’ timely and effective response**, acknowledging their role in preventing a major disaster in Balochistan. The cabinet also paid tribute to the **martyred soldiers**, praying for their forgiveness.

Additionally, the cabinet expressed deep concern over the **targeted killings of religious scholars** and reiterated the public’s solidarity with the forces in the fight against terrorism.

In another key development, the cabinet authorized the sale of **stockpiled wheat** based on the recommendations of a special committee. Furthermore, approval was granted for renaming **Golimar Chowk** and **Kachra Road**.

As part of education sector reforms, the cabinet instructed the swift completion of recruitment processes based on merit. Initially, all recruits will be employed on an **18-month contract basis**, with the possibility of extending their tenure upon satisfactory performance.

Addressing the media, **CM Sarfraz Bugti** stated that both the **Balochistan Cabinet** and the public have completely rejected terrorism. He reaffirmed that governance issues would not be linked to the state, and the provincial government is committed to ensuring meritocracy, ensuring that deserving individuals are given their due rights.
