UAE Grants Golden Visas to Over 16,000 Educational Professionals, Including Top Students and Graduates

Abu Dhabi:The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued Golden Visas to a total of 16,456 individuals in the education sector, which includes 10,710 top-performing high school students who scored more than 95% in their exams. Additionally, 5,246 distinguished university graduates have been awarded Golden Visas, along with 337 educational experts. Furthermore, 147 graduates from globally recognized universities and 16 prominent scientists have also received this prestigious visa.

Historically, Golden Visas were mostly granted to business communities who invest in the UAE, but recently, students have also become eligible for this visa. But what exactly is a Golden Visa, what benefits does it offer, and what facilities can students expect after receiving it?

**Positive and Negative Aspects of the Golden Visa – Adnan Paracha**

In a conversation with V News, Vice Chairman of the Overseas Employment Promoters Association, Muhammad Adnan Paracha, expressed his views on the matter. He praised the issuance of the Golden Visa to 16,000 individuals, which included people from various countries, including Pakistan. He noted that this is a proud moment for Pakistan. Paracha added that over the past few years, the UAE has provided a significant number of opportunities for overseas individuals.

Paracha further mentioned that there are both positive and negative aspects of the Golden Visa. He stated that it is not affordable for everyone, as the visa is typically granted to business community members or individuals who make significant investments in the UAE. He also highlighted that with the UAE granting Golden Visas to 16,000 individuals from the educational sector, the most significant advantage is the ability to stay in the country for 10 years, along with the right to bring their families.

According to Adnan Paracha, the holder of a Golden Visa is allowed to work in any field in the UAE, and their residential status will be equivalent to that of the local population. He added that the holder could also open a business or a company, with many other benefits available.

Paracha warned that this policy could lead to a brain drain situation, as students who stay in the UAE for ten years may prioritize continuing their education and services there. As a result, they might settle permanently in the UAE. However, if they continue to support their families back home in Pakistan, it would contribute to foreign exchange for the country.

**Golden Visa Holders Could Benefit from UAE’s Health System – Muhammad Junaid**

Travel agent Muhammad Junaid spoke about the numerous benefits of the Golden Visa. He mentioned that holders of the Golden Visa are allowed to stay in the UAE for up to 10 years, with the option to bring their family members to the country. In addition, the visa does not get canceled if the holder spends more than six months outside the UAE. Furthermore, Golden Visa holders are permitted to sponsor any number of domestic helpers.

Junaid also pointed out that Golden Visa holders could benefit from the UAE’s health system, along with several other advantages. For students, these benefits could include special scholarships, research programs, and other educational benefits, which may help them secure employment in the future.
