Pakistan Summons UK Deputy Head of Mission Over Protest in Bradford, Issues Strong Demarche

**Islamabad (Qudrat News):** The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned UK Deputy Head of Mission Matt Kennel and issued a formal demarche regarding a protest outside the Pakistani Consulate in Bradford, UK.

Sources said that British High Commissioner Jane Marriott was not in Pakistan at the time, prompting the Ministry to engage with the acting UK High Commissioner. The demarche protested the use of British soil to organize demonstrations that targeted Pakistan.

According to officials, a political party’s official account was allegedly used to mobilize protesters, who used highly provocative and objectionable language against the Chief of Defence Forces during the protest. Threats were made to assassinate the Field Marshal in a car bomb attack.

The Government of Pakistan has taken serious note of these threats and emphasized that the UK must ensure its territory is not used to destabilize Pakistan. Islamabad expressed the expectation that the UK will take strict action against the extremist elements involved and hold them accountable under the law.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain confirmed that the demarche was formally delivered to the UK’s acting Head of Mission.
