Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Opposes Remote Control of Provincial Assembly

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has stated that they will resist any attempts to run the Balochistan Assembly through remote control. He emphasized that the party will continue to highlight and address the issues of all communities, including Baloch, Pashtun, and other oppressed groups, both inside and outside the assembly. “Those who try to obstruct our efforts will fail,” he added.

In a meeting with various delegations in Quetta, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman criticized the federal government’s neglect of Balochistan, claiming that it was being exploited like a ‘golden egg-laying hen.’ He highlighted the dire situation in the province, where mothers are dying during childbirth, and both humans and animals are forced to share the same water sources. Despite these challenges, he criticized the government’s plan to demolish intact buildings, including the Balochistan Assembly building, to spend billions on unnecessary projects.

He called on the federal government and provincial rulers to focus on improving the lives of the people of Balochistan by addressing basic needs such as clean drinking water, education, and healthcare. “If the rulers are sincere with the people, they should take immediate and revolutionary steps to improve the conditions and resolve the issues,” he said. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman assured that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue to raise its voice for the rights of the oppressed and will stand with the people of Balochistan in their struggle for justice. He also expressed confidence that the people at every level are supporting their cause.
