UAE Launches ‘Salama’ Platform for Instant Visa Renewal
The United Arab Emirates has introduced a groundbreaking online platform, ‘Salama,’ designed to streamline and accelerate the visa renewal process for residents in Dubai. The platform, powered by artificial intelligence, allows users to renew their visas for themselves and their families in just a few minutes.
Launched by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), the ‘Salama’ platform offers a quick and convenient way for residents to select their renewal period, pay the required fees, and download updated documents.
In addition to facilitating the renewal process, ‘Salama’ sends notifications to users prior to their visa expiration, alerting them about upcoming renewals.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Head of Dubai Immigration, hailed the project as a significant step in Dubai’s digital transformation, while Colonel Khalid Al Falasi, Assistant Director-General for Digital Services at Dubai Immigration, emphasized that ‘Salama’ leverages advanced technology to deliver quick and accurate responses, thus enhancing government service delivery.
