In a related development, the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Technical Committee has approved the inclusion of Imam-ul-Haq in the Pakistan squad to replace Fakhar Zaman. Imam, who has played 72 One-Day Internationals, has been named as a replacement after Fakhar’s injury forced him to withdraw from the tournament.

Following his exit from the Champions Trophy, Fakhar Zaman expressed his disappointment, saying, “Representing Pakistan on the biggest stage is every cricketer’s honor and dream, and I had the privilege of doing so.
