Two Political Dynasties Have Undermined Democracy in Pakistan: Barrister Saif
Peshawar: Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Department, Barrister Saif, stated that two political families that have dominated the country have hollowed out the foundations of democracy.
In his message on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birthday, Barrister Saif extended his greetings to the nation, saying, “The whole nation is wished a happy birthday to the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Through his insight, wisdom, and selfless leadership, he laid the foundation of an independent state. His leadership gave Muslims a sense of purpose and direction.”
Barrister Saif emphasized that Jinnah’s three principles—Unity, Faith, and Discipline—are crucial for the development of any nation. “Today is a day for renewing our commitment to the restoration of true democracy and the rule of law in the country,” he said.
He further criticized the political elite, stating that the political class that has ruled the country for decades has distorted the true face of Jinnah’s Pakistan. “The two political families that have dominated the country have weakened the foundations of democracy,” he added. “Quaid-e-Azam was always a man of integrity, principle, and strong character. He demonstrated through his words and actions that honesty and hard work are the keys to success.”
Barrister Saif reiterated that Jinnah’s vision was of a state where every person would have religious, political, and social freedom. “Because of his sacrifices, we are able to breathe in a free environment today,” he said. “Quaid’s message teaches us to maintain hope and courage in the face of difficulties.”
He concluded by saying that Quaid-e-Azam’s struggle teaches us that with perseverance and sacrifice, even the greatest goals can be achieved. “Quaid’s teachings offer us the opportunity to reflect on his legacy and to build a strong and prosperous Pakistan by following his principles.”
