Snowfall Intensifies Cold Weather Across Northern Pakistan
Islamabad:Heavy snowfall** in the northern regions of Pakistan has significantly intensified the cold weather, disrupting daily life in various areas.
In **Gilgit-Baltistan’s** **Astore district**, **intense snowfall** has led to a disruption of daily activities. Similarly, **Nanga Parbat** and **Bato Gaah** are also experiencing heavy snowfall, further worsening the weather conditions.
In **Azad Jammu and Kashmir**, **upper regions** have recorded snowfall of more than **2 feet**, adding to the already chilly atmosphere. **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Babusar Top** has also been covered in snow, turning the area into a winter wonderland.
Meanwhile, the **plains of Punjab** are also feeling the effects of the cold front, as the temperature continues to drop. The province of **Balochistan** is seeing extreme cold, particularly in **Quetta**, **Kalat**, **Chaman**, **Qilla Abdullah**, **Pishin**, and **Ziarat**, where water pipes have frozen due to the severe cold.
In **Karachi**, the temperature has dropped to **11°C**, marking an unusual chill for the coastal city.
