Pakistan Meteorological Department Predicts Rain and Snowfall in Various Regions Starting Today
Islamabad:The **Pakistan Meteorological Department** (PMD) has forecasted rain and snowfall in several parts of the country starting today. According to the PMD, **cold and strong winds** are expected to blow across **Sindh**, **Balochistan**, and **Punjab**, while snowfall is likely in the mountainous regions.
The department has stated that **western winds** will enter the northern areas of Pakistan today, resulting in rainfall from **today until December 8** in areas including **Murree**, **Galyat**, **Islamabad**, **Rawalpindi**, and various parts of **Punjab**. Additionally, rain and snowfall are expected in **Chitral**, **Dera**, **Swat**, **Malakand**, and other areas of **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)**, **Gilgit-Baltistan**, and **Azad Jammu & Kashmir**.
The department has urged citizens in these areas to remain cautious and prepared for weather changes, including possible disruption due to snow and heavy rain.
