November 2024 Recorded as Pakistan’s Hottest November in 64 Years**

Karachi:November 2024 has officially been declared the hottest November in Pakistan’s 64-year meteorological history, with record-breaking nighttime temperatures across the country.

According to the weather department’s summary for November, the average temperature across Pakistan was **2.89°C higher** than the usual monthly average. The average temperature for the month was recorded at **20.7°C**, making it the highest November temperature in the last six decades.

The usual average temperature for November is **17.8°C**, but this year, daytime temperatures were also **2.1°C above the normal average**, with an average daytime temperature of **28°C**. The meteorological department stated that this was the **second-highest daytime temperature** in the country’s 64-year climate history, as the average daytime temperature for November is typically **25.9°C**.

Notably, nighttime temperatures were **4°C higher** than the usual average. The lowest temperature recorded during the night was **13.4°C**, marking the **highest nighttime temperatures** in over six decades. The average normal nighttime temperature for November is usually **9.3°C**.

The weather department also reported that on **November 3**, **Turbat** recorded the highest temperature of **41°C**, making it the hottest day of the month. **Mithi** remained the warmest location in the country throughout November.

On the other hand, **Skardu** recorded the **coldest night of the month** on **November 28**, with a temperature of **-6.6°C**. Skardu also had the **coldest temperatures in the country** during November, with a monthly average of **-0.9°C**.

In terms of rainfall, November’s precipitation remained close to the usual averages. However, on **November 30**, **Khuzdar** recorded **54.3 mm** of rain, marking the highest single-day rainfall of the month. **Dera Ismail Khan** received the heaviest overall rainfall of **110 mm** during the month.

This unseasonably hot November has raised concerns regarding the changing climate patterns and their impact on the region’s weather, with temperatures well above historical norms.
