Balochistan Government Decides to Provide Pink Scooties to Working Women and Female Students
Quetta: The provincial government of Balochistan has initiated a series of measures aimed at empowering women. As part of these efforts, the government has decided to distribute pink scooties to working women and female students.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sardar Tanveer Iqbal Buzdar, presented pink scooties to a student from FG Girls Degree College, Tahira Arif, and a female police officer. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that the initiative is designed to promote empowerment by providing female students in universities, colleges, and secondary schools with the tools to become more independent and self-reliant.
“We aim to make women and girls more confident and self-sufficient,” said Buzdar, adding that a formal policy for the Pink Scooties Scheme will soon be developed and rolled out. He reiterated his commitment to offering ample opportunities for women’s advancement in all sectors of society.
Balochistan’s Chief Minister further highlighted the significant presence of women in leadership roles, noting that five women have been appointed as Deputy Commissioners across the province. He praised the women officers for their outstanding administrative contributions.
The government’s decision to offer pink scooties is seen as a positive step towards enhancing mobility and promoting gender equality in Balochistan.
