Mob of 40 Attacks JUI Senator Kamran Murtaza’s House, Allegations of Harassing Women and Children; Privilege Motion Submitted in Senate

ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat): A mob of 40 people attacked JUI Senator Kamran Murtaza’s house and harassed the women and children present there. Senator Kamran Murtaza has submitted a privilege motion in the Senate’s Committee on Privileges, stating that he is submitting the following privilege motion in the House regarding the incident that happened to him: on 4 November, approximately 40 individuals surrounded and attacked his personal house No. 70-D, Single Housing Scheme.
According to Express News, the privilege motion stated that unknown persons kicked the main gate of the house, climbed the walls and took pictures of the inside of the house. Hearing the noise, people of the neighbourhood gathered, and a few students present there tried to make videos of these individuals with their personal mobile cameras, but they forbade them. Later, the forty individuals surrounded his ancestral house No. D-22, located a short distance from his house, and attacked there.
Unknown persons kicked the doors and climbed onto the roof. At that time, besides his younger brother Adnan, the women and children of the house were also present. His brother asked the aforementioned individuals to identify themselves and the reason for harassing them without cause, to which they refused to disclose their identity and said they had come on the instructions of law-enforcement agencies.
According to the privilege motion, after some time, due to a large number of people gathering, the aforementioned individuals left the place. Despite being a member of the Senate of Pakistan and a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, an attack is carried out on my house. If women and children in the house are harassed, then what will be the condition of an ordinary and poor Pakistani citizen? I request that my motion be sent to the relevant committee so that a review of all the aforementioned incidents can be conducted and its report presented in the House.
