PTI Conditions Participation in Government Meeting on Meeting with Imran Khan

**Islamabad:** Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has set a condition for attending a government-convened meeting, stating that the party will not participate until its founder, Imran Khan, is granted a personal meeting.

A press release issued by PTI’s political committee stated that the party will accept the invitation only if the demand for a meeting with Imran Khan is fulfilled. The statement emphasized that PTI seeks the supremacy of the judiciary, full protection of Imran Khan’s constitutional rights, and immediate facilitation of meetings with his family and lawyers. It also demanded that Khan be transferred promptly to Shifa International Hospital and that his treatment be ensured in the presence of personal physicians and family members.

The political committee also expressed concern over the escalating situation with Afghanistan and condemned acts of aggression and killings by Israel and the United States in Iran. PTI urged Iran and Gulf states to exercise restraint, while calling on the U.S. and Israel to immediately halt unlawful and provocative actions, warning that further attacks could push the world into chaos.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to brief opposition and political leaders on the current regional situation. Sources indicate that tomorrow he will meet with leaders of both parliamentary houses, opposition leaders, and parliamentary party heads at the Prime Minister’s House. The briefing will include Pakistan’s foreign policy stance amid the ongoing Middle East tensions and the attacks on Iran.
