Senator Kamran Murtaza Announces Legal Action Against Digital Media for Filming Homes and Women

ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat): JUI-F leader Senator Kamran Murtaza has said that the sanctity of people’s homes and private spaces should be protected, otherwise they will be confronted. Programmes are being run against us on digital media; we know where their payments come from — from the nation’s money and elsewhere.

Speaking to the media, he said that action is being taken against the programmes being run against us on digital media. This black digital media is being used against us; we know their payments are made from the nation’s money, and where the payments come from, where bungalows have been taken for them — those are dens of luxury; those are separate matters.

He said that the sanctity of people’s homes and private spaces should be protected, otherwise they will be confronted.

Kamran Murtaza said that we have given a programme that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will address all bar associations; we are starting an awareness campaign, Maulana will go across Pakistan and lawyers will be with him. Maulana never speaks on small-level matters; Maulana is speaking on national matters.

But if anyone starts filming our homes and women, and raises fingers at women, that is indecency and will be dealt with separately. The rest of the matters are of a national nature; parliament, the nation and the Constitution and law are being mocked.

Furthermore, JUI spokesman Aslam Ghori said that the violation of the sanctity of JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s home is a manifestation of the mental depravity of powerful people.

Such actions become a cause of hatred and provocation among the nation. Workers should follow the directions of provincial and central organisations instead of getting provoked.

The drone video of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s home is contrary to human rights, Eastern values and Islamic traditions. It is regrettable that the women for whose honour and chastity Maulana Fazlur Rehman came into the field — today, during his own tenure, the sanctity of the Maulana’s home is being violated.

Argument and wisdom are being countered through false propaganda, allegations and despicable tactics. The Federal Information Minister should answer within which legal framework the respect of homes and private spaces has not been observed.

No one should give us browbeating and threats; we know how to compete. The rulers should come to their senses and go only as far as can be tolerated.
