Government Silence on the Killing and Abduction of Citizens in Qila Abdullah Is Criminal; Constitutional Responsibilities Must Be Fulfilled to Establish Law and Order: Munir Ahmed Kakar
Pakistan Bar Council Member Fully Supports District Bar Qila Abdullah's Judicial Boycott and Public Demands; Demands Immediate Recovery of the Abducted
QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Pakistan Bar Council member Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar Advocate, strongly condemning the incident in the Tang Masezai area of Qila Abdullah in which two people were martyred, two injured and others abducted during a terrorist incident, has said that the deteriorating law and order situation in various areas of Balochistan, including Qila Abdullah, is cause for concern, and the government should fulfil its constitutional and legal responsibilities for the protection of citizens’ lives and property and the establishment of law and order.
In a condemnatory statement, Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar Advocate said that targeting innocent citizens, martyring and injuring them and abducting them is an extremely regrettable and condemnable act. Such incidents are increasing the sense of fear, panic and insecurity among the people. It is the responsibility of the government and relevant institutions to provide protection to the people from terrorists and criminal elements.
He said that the people of Qila Abdullah have long been facing law and order problems, and the unpleasant incidents occurring daily have affected the lives of citizens. The government should take effective measures to bring the elements involved in the incident before the law, ensure the immediate and safe recovery of the abducted persons and establish durable peace in the area.
Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar, supporting the protesters’ demands regarding the incident, urged the government to seriously heed public demands and take immediate practical steps for their resolution. He also supported the announcement of a boycott of courts by the District Bar Association Qila Abdullah.
He expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs and prayed that Allah Almighty grant the martyrs the highest place in Jannat al-Firdous and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
