Hina Altaf Calls Karachi a ‘Prison’, Says Girls Cannot Live Freely in Pakistan
KARACHI:Pakistani actress Hina Altaf has described Karachi as a “prison” for women, saying that being a girl is treated like a sin in the country.
The actress, who had been spending her holidays in London, shared a video just hours before departing for Pakistan, describing her trip to the British capital as a wonderful experience.
Speaking about her return to Karachi, Hina said she was planning to enjoy her last breakfast in London before returning to what she called a “prison” in Karachi.
She said girls could not live freely or even walk on the streets in Pakistan, adding that she was spending her final hours of freedom in London.
The actress also said London had treated her very well during her stay.
Her remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some users criticised her for speaking negatively about her own city, others expressed agreement with her views.
