MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has urged young women to focus on their careers and financial independence before getting married, once again speaking openly on a social issue.
The 39-year-old actress recently expressed concern over incidents related to dowry and domestic harassment, stating in an Instagram story that many women in today’s society face difficulties after marriage and, in some cases, even struggle to meet their own expenses.
According to Kangana Ranaut, women should first work toward becoming strong and self-reliant in order to avoid such situations.
In her message, the actress emphasized that women should give top priority to their professional lives and ensure they are not financially dependent on anyone before entering a relationship.
She further stated that marriage should only be considered when a woman is fully independent and capable of taking responsibility for herself.
Kangana’s remarks come at a time when a tragic case related to dowry and domestic violence in India has drawn widespread media attention, reigniting public debate on the issue.
