Imran Khan’s Sister Noreen Niazi Shifted to Hospital from Kot Lakhpat Jail

LAHORE:Noreen Niazi, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was shifted from Kot Lakhpat Jail to a hospital after her health deteriorated in custody.

Her lawyer, Rana Mudassar Umar, said in a statement posted on social media that Noreen Niazi was transferred to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology following a deterioration in her health while in jail.

The lawyer also appealed to the public to pray for her recovery.

Rana Mudassar Umar said the 70-year-old Noreen Niazi was being held in what he described as illegal detention. He further claimed that no member of her family had been informed about her transfer to the hospital.
